It was a given that AEK needed a strong facelift from top to bottom.
But while many expected the number of transfers Xavi Roca would make to double digits, few predicted that it would reach 18, along with Adam Giursko, who was announced earlier.
The Spanish technical director “touched” the twenties in the first summer of his second term in the yellow-greens, with the recent additions in time raising the quality in the roster of the yellow-greens.
In total, AEK acquired three goalkeepers, six defenders, three midfielders, three wingers and three forwards.
It is noted that 15 footballers have left AEK so far and another four have been loaned out, while there are still three or four players at the exit door. Specifically, Mol, Lafrans, Naranjo, Moisov, Tonio, Tolmes, Antoniadis, Ioannou, Christodoulou, Spoliaric, Tryfonos, Savvidis, Torres, Haugen and Sutterden left. Borrowers were Konstantinou (ENP), Andreou (Omonia Aradippou), Stefanou (ASIL) and Raspas (Othellos).
