Meeting, which will take place tomorrow, Friday, convened by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Prodromos Prodromou, during which issues of behavior, order and proper operation of schools will be examined.
The meeting is held with the Association of Directors of Secondary Education and with the participation of the Directorates of Secondary General and Secondary Technical Education, on the occasion of recent incidents in schools.
In today's announcement, the Ministry of Education speaks of a number of worrying incidents in schools, such as the recent entry of out-of-school agents and the complaint of sexual harassment during a high school in the province of Nicosia, which was also discussed in Parliament. and physical violence by a parent against a school principal in the province of Famagusta for reacting to the imposed pandemic protection measures, the recent crackdowns on a gymnasium in the province of Larnaca, as well as several other cases of disruption of the smooth operation of schools. >
At the same time, he notes that especially at this time of year, at the end of the school year, there are a number of complaints and grievances about the school from parents whose children have a promotion problem due to an excessive number of absences. According to the Ministry of Education and Science, complaints often turn out to be unfounded.
The meeting is held, in order to examine issues of behavior, order and proper functioning of schools.
