The Personal and Specialist Doctors, as well as the hospital pharmacies of OKYPY were informed about the prescription of the antiviral drug Molnupiravir from yesterday Friday, January 14, 2022, through an announcement sent to their e-mail addresses by the Health Insurance Organization, reports the Ministry of Health.
In an announcement, the Ministry makes clarifications regarding the position of the president of the Society of Family and Personal Doctors, Mr. Andreas Polyneikis, that they have not received relevant information about the prescription of the drug.
The relevant announcement, the Ministry notes, gave the guidelines on how to prescribe the drug Molnupiravir to patients with mild / moderate COVID-19 disease through the computer system of GESS. “The Ministry of Health contacted the president of the Society of Family and Personal Doctors, Mr. Andreas Polyneikis, who confirmed the receipt of the relevant announcement,” it added.
It is also emphasized that the medicines are in the pharmacies of the state hospitals and the prescribing process will start on Monday, January 17, 2022.
