The confiscation of a quantity of more than 11 kilos of cannabis and the arrest of a 68-year-old man, in whose house the quantity of drugs was found, was proceeded by the Police, and specifically the Anti-Drug Service – YKAN.

Specifically, around 3.15 yesterday afternoon, members of YKAN stopped for control the car that the 68-year-old was driving on a road in the province of Nicosia. He hid a quantity of drugs in the house.
Then, after a search of the 68-year-old's house, with his consent, ten packages with a quantity of dry cannabis plant material, with a total gross weight of 11 kilos, were found in two bags. and 458 grams.
The 68-year-old suspect was initially arrested for a self-inflicted crime, while he was later arrested with a court order. He was taken into custody, for the purposes of investigating a case of drug possession, and possession of drugs for the purpose of supply to another person.
