The number of building permits issued by municipal authorities and provincial administrations rose to 715 in November 2021, while in the first eleven months of 2021 there was an increase in the number of building permits of 15.9%, according to an announcement by the Statistical Service.
As mentioned, the total value of these permits reached € 197.7 million and the total area of 194.6 thousand square meters.
According to the announcement, during the period January – November 2021, 7,386 building permits were issued compared to 6,375 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording an increase of 15.9%.

The total value of these permits decreased by -11.1% and the total area increased by 1.2%.
Finally, in terms of the number of housing units, with the issued building permits it is foreseen to build 918 housing units, while the total number of housing units for the period January – November 2021 reached 9,466, recording an increase of 10.8% compared to 8,540 in the corresponding period of the previous year,
It is noted that building permits are an important indication of future activity in the construction sector.
