Mourning in Thebes for the 16-year-old girl who lost the battle with the coronavirus in the hospital a few hours after she was intubated.
The child's mother is battling the virus at the Evangelismos Intensive Care Unit. She does not know that her child is missing. The girl's father spoke to Star. “I carried it because it was full of coronavirus,” he said.
Margarita had severe shortness of breath, cough and fever, while her oxygen was falling dangerously. He was intubated and the doctors were preparing for transport to a hospital in Athens. Unfortunately, a few hours before her delivery, she “left”.
The girl was diagnosed with Covid on Friday. She was quarantined at her home in Pyrri with her positive parents.
On Monday, her mother did not feel well and went to the hospital with her. The doctors decided that the 46-year-old should be transported immediately to Evangelismos, where she is being treated in the ICU, fighting for her life as she suffers from diabetes.
The same day they examined the child again and saw a “good clinical” picture. “She was examined, instructed and had a good clinical picture about it and was told to go home,” said the mayor of Thebes.
Her brother complained of criminal negligence as, as she says, the pediatrician who examined her for the second time at the Hospital of Thebes diagnosed pharyngitis.
The girl reportedly suffered from diabetes and some heart problems. Margarita is unfortunately the youngest victim of the coronavirus in Greece.
