21-year-old handcuffed for injuring a security guard in a nightclub

The arrest of a 21-year-old resident of Limassol was made by the Police yesterday, in order to facilitate the investigations regarding an attack case with causing severe bodily injury.

The case was reported to the Police last Friday, July 23, by a 26-year-old resident of Limassol. According to the complainant, while working as a security guard, in a nightclub, in Limassol, around 4 p.m. On July 23, he was attacked by a man unknown to him, who allegedly hit him in the face.

The 26-year-old lost consciousness from the blow he received. He was transported by a friend to the Limassol General Hospital, where he was found to have suffered an ocular fracture and a fractured sinus fracture. He was detained for follow-up in the hospital's surgical ward and was discharged the next day.

The police examinations provided a testimony against the 21-year-old, on the basis of which a court arrest warrant was obtained. Yesterday afternoon, the 21-year-old was arrested and detained, to facilitate interrogations.
