According to the Police, the 25-year-old, who had been arrested, in order to facilitate the investigations, in connection with the case of possession of 23 kilos of cannabis, was brought today before the Paphos District Court, which issued an eight-day detention order.

The members of the Police proceeded to locate and confiscate 23 kilos and 124 grams of cannabis yesterday. The quantity of cannabis was located yesterday afternoon, after checking the luggage of a 25-year-old man, who arrived at Paphos airport, coming from Greece. In his two luggage, 40 nylon packages were found, which contained the above amount of cannabis.
The 25-year-old was initially arrested for a self-inflicted crime and then on a court warrant and was taken into custody.
