28 years later – Emotion at the Paralimni cemetery, Isaac-Solomos memorial event
At the Paralimni cemetery the motorcyclists of the Isaac-Solomos Memorial Initiative ended.
After the march on the mountaintops of free Cyprus, “Five minus one” arrived at the Paralimni cemetery where they welcomed the runners, swimmers and cyclists.

There a trisag was held in memory of the two heroes and a modest event followed.
“At the Paralimni cemetery, in front of the tombs of the heroes, Tasos and Solomos. With historical voices, from 28-year-old Anastasia and Andri Markou, daughter of Tasos Markou, who left a lot of leaven for the two lavenders and those who come from far away. The reminder of the crime, in front of Solis' father and Tasos' mother, a promise to continue the fight for justice, no matter how much the rulers of the place want it to be forgotten. Their foundations in the mountains, from Chionistra to Pentadaktylos. We persist. The trek ends at the Deryneia roadblock, where number of participants will stay overnight to attend the 28th annual Tasos and Solomos memorial service on Sunday, August 11.
