The Limassol district court issued a five-day detention order this morning against the 36-year-old who was arrested yesterday in connection with Thursday's incidents, between Apollo fans and AEL.
Against the 36-year-old, a written testimony emerged that connects him with the incidents, which started, when around 7 pm on Thursday, passing vehicles, with AEL fans, were stoned in the area of Agios Antonios, where the Apollo Fans Association is located.
Around 21:00, a group of people arrived at the scene, covering their faces with hoods and helmets, and clashes ensued with stone throwing and fireworks.
In order to deal with and suppress the incidents, which resulted in a car burning completely and six others being damaged, staff of the Limassol Police Department was recalled, while reinforcements were called from the Motorized Unit of Immediate Action.
Two more people were arrested for the same case the day before yesterday, a 20-year-old and a 16-year-old. The first was placed in custody for two days yesterday while the minor was released without being charged, after he was first interrogated in the presence of his father and a lawyer.
Police investigations continue to locate other people who participated in the incidents
