The Larnaca District Court today issued a 6-day detention order against a 40-year-old man from the Larnaca district, to facilitate police investigations into a case involving, among other things, a conspiracy to commit a crime, illegal cultivation of cannabis and supply.
According to the Police, in the context of evaluating evidence and testimonies, members of the Larnaca branch of YKAN conducted a search yesterday afternoon in the apartment of a 39-year-old in Larnaca.
During the research, it was found in a specially designed space inside a bedroom, which contained, among other things, lamps and rubbers, an artificial nursery in which six cannabis plants 50-60 cm high and a small amount of cannabis were grown.
The plants and the equipment used for their cultivation were taken from the tent.
The 40-year-old was arrested on a warrant and today he was brought before the Larnaca District Court which issued a detention order against him for 6 days.
Another 34-year-old man from Limassol is wanted for the same case.
The case is being investigated by the Larnaca Branch of YKAN.
