In his statements at the roadblock of Agios Dometios, after receiving the first installments and speaking to Turkish journalists, the Turkish Head of the Technical Committee for Health said that they received the first installments for 1080 people and the second installments will come within of next month.

Asked how many doses the T / C side has requested for vaccines from the EU through the Technical Committee, Mr. Soidan said that they have requested 400,000 doses but have not yet received a clear answer on how many doses will be given to them. From the batches that the Greek Cypriots will receive, a part will be given to the Turkish Cypriots, but the numbers have not been clarified yet. he added.

Asked who will be vaccinated with these vaccines, Mr. Soidan said that according to their vaccination program, they have started vaccinating health professionals and people over the age of 65. “These vaccines will be given within 5 days based on this schedule.”

To another question he replied that he did not know if they would be given other doses between the two doses of Pfizer vaccines.
