Households and small and medium-sized enterprises absorbed a little more than 50% of the total loans of the Bank of Cyprus in 2020, recording an increase of 13 units compared to 2019.
The shift to households and small and medium-sized enterprises took place mainly within the framework of the #RestartCy program, according to information through the Bank of Cyprus.
In the household category, the Bank's new lending in 2020 was more than 50% of the total economy – more than all the other banks combined. It also accounted for 42% of the total market share in all lending categories. A total of 1.4 billion euros were given in new borrowing in 2020 by the Bank.
