The first blood donation for 2023 by the Hellenic Bank staff members was completed with great success.
Once again, staff members contributed with the ultimate form of volunteerism to the important work carried out by the Blood Center of the Ministry of Health, participating in the 7th Pancypriot Voluntary Blood Donation organized on February 13 in memory of loved ones and colleagues who have passed away.
At a time when blood stocks are at extremely low levels and calls to strengthen the low stocks in the Blood Bank are almost daily, the organization of blood donation was once again imperative.
With the aim of strengthening the Blood Center, Hellenic Bank has decided to increase the number of blood drives it organizes each year to three (every 4 months), instead of the two it used to be.
Now, Hellenic Bank's blood drives will be held every year in Cyprus, in the following months: February in memory of loved ones and colleagues who have passed away, June on the occasion of Volunteer Blood Donor Day (14/06) and October in support of the Alcinoos Artemios Foundation.
The group of volunteers and the staff of the Hellenic Bank, contributing to this great cause, warmly responded to the call and with a sense of social responsibility offered the most valuable gift, with the aim of strengthening the Blood Center. The attendance of staff at the blood drives was significant in all cities, contributing in practice to promoting the value of blood donation.
The blood drive was organized within the framework of the Bank's ESG strategy, in collaboration with the Blood Center of the Ministry of Health, taking all the required measures and strictly following the protocol of the Ministry of Health.
