92 Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot entrepreneurs applied to the Stelios Bi-communal Business Cooperation Awards 2023

With the participation of 92 Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot businessmen, the application process for the Stelios Bi-communal Business Cooperation Awards 2023 was completed on Friday 27 January 2023.

46 Bi-community teams, consisting of one Greek Cypriot and one Turkish Cypriot entrepreneur, submitted their joint application, claiming the prize money of 20,000 euros (10,000 euros for each entrepreneur – member of the two-member team), which will offer to each of the 10 best business proposals, Sir Stelios Hatziioannou, Creator and Owner of easy family of brands (see www.easycom&www.easyHistory.info) and Founder and President of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation (https://steliosfoundation.com.cy/) .

The Award Ceremony and the announcement of the ten winning teams, who will share the total amount of 200,000 euros, will take place online on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 17.00 (Cyprus time), with Sir Stelios Hatziioannou congratulating the winners, via zoom. The online ceremony will be accessible to all 46 teams vying for the award, as well as to media representatives.

It is worth noting that again this year the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards 2023 will focus exclusively on business cooperation Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, that is why groups of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots whose business has an annual turnover of at least ten thousand euros and employs another person besides the owner were eligible to participate in the competition.

It should be noted that the Presentation of the Bi-Community Business Partnership Awards “Stelios Bi – Communal Awards for Business Co-operation 2023″, is the 13th event in Cyprus, while the total value of the Awards since 2009, when the institution was held for the first time, amounts to €4,190,000, including this year's in the amount of 200,000 euros.
