They were located in a property in the district of Nicosia and 19 kilograms of cannabis were seized, as well as a quantity of white powder believed to be cocaine, weighing approximately one kilogram, by members of YCAN (Nicosia Unit). A 32-year-old man was taken into custody for the case.
According to a police announcement, as part of the investigation and evaluation of evidence, members of the National Police (Nicosia Unit) carried out a search yesterday afternoon based on a court warrant, at the property of a 32-year-old man who is in a rural area of Nicosia province.
During the investigation, which was carried out in the presence of the 32-year-old, a quantity of cannabis with a total weight of approximately 19 kilograms, as well as a quantity of white powder believed to be cocaine, weighing approximately one kilogram, were found inside the premises, while in the possession of the 32-year-old was found a sum of money amounting to €1,000.
The 32-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and then a search followed at his home where a small amount of cannabis, a dried cannabis plant, and the sum of €13,070 were found.
During the search three owls were also spotted, for which the Game Service was called where they received them and took over for further investigation.
The 32-year-old was taken into custody while YKAN (Nicosia Unit) continues the examinations.
