Must read

Nikos Sypsas warned of a sudden “explosion” of cases especially in Attica for the coronavirus.

The professor of Infectious Diseases and a member of the committee of experts of the Ministry of Health expressed his fear that there is a possibility of an epidemiological outbreak of coronavirus cases in January and February, especially in Attica.

As he explained to OREN, the problem is that such an explosion will not happen gradually but abruptly.

Asked about the rationale behind the reopening with the physical presence of Primary Schools and Kindergartens, Mr. Sypsas answered that in any case a risk is taken and that we live in times of great instability where the data change every day to make her own decisions.

He did not rule out the possibility that measures could be taken at any time for areas with a high epidemiological burden, such as Larissa and Laconia.

Regarding the reopening of daily activities, Mr. Sypsas said that priority is given to schools, retail will take over and the restaurant will be opened last.

He emphasized that there was still trust between the Commission and the government, despite what was being said and written from time to time.
