Deloitte Cyprus announces that, as of June 1, Pieris Markou is the new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Markou succeeds Christos Christoforou who has led Deloitte for the last 20 years.
The change of baton at the level of CEO takes place after the decision of Mr. Christoforos to leave and after the legal procedures and consultations with the partners of Deloitte Cyprus.

Pieris Markou took over as Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte in Cyprus and a member of the Deloitte Middle East Executive Committee, having served as Head of Tax & Legal Services for a number of years. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and the board of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also vice president of the Cyprus Association of Chartered Accountants (SELK).
