The prices of materials in the construction sector showed a significant increase of 11.59% in June 2021, compared to June last year.
Compared to the previous month, according to the Statistical Service, the Price Index of Construction Materials for the month of June 2021 amounted to 112.54 points (based on 2015 = 100), recording an increase of 2.95%.
In the first half of 2021 (January – June) the Price Index of Construction Materials increased by 6.15%, compared to last year.
By main product category, increases were recorded in June 2021, compared to June 2020, in metal products (24.76%), electromechanical items (10.66%), wood products, insulation, chemicals and plastics (9.63%), in minerals (2.87%) and in mineral products (1.14%).
