After her meeting with President Anastasiadis, Ms. Lut will have a meeting in the occupied territories with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar.

In the same vein as he said in his letter to the UN Secretary-General, in which he accepted his invitation to the informal Pentagon, the President is expected to stress the importance of resuming talks from where they left off in Crans Montana. to find a viable and workable solution, based on the work done so far, the understanding recorded on 25 November 2019 in Berlin, the UN resolutions and decisions, the EU principles and values and the occasional Summit Agreements .

He will also note the need to attend the EU conference, of which Cyprus is and will remain a member after the solution.

Ms. Lut's meeting with President Anastasiadis, at the Presidential Palace, is scheduled for 10.30 on Monday morning, while later in the day the UN official is expected to go to the occupied territories to meet with the Turkish leader. , Ersin Tatar.

At 9.00 on Monday morning, Ms. Lut will attend a meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Cyprus, Elizabeth Spehar, and members of the Cyprus Group on the UN Secretary-General's Good Services Mission, to brief in relation to any developments and contacts taking place on the ground.

During her stay on the island, Ms. Luth is also expected to meet with negotiators on both sides.

It is noted that on Wednesday Ms. Lout will be in Athens where for contacts with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Dendia, and with officials of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Dendias will visit Cyprus on Monday, coming from Cairo, to have talks in the afternoon with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulidis, in the context of the Nicosia-Athens coordination on the Cyprus issue, in view of the informal meeting in Geneva. but also in view of the EU debate on Euro-Turkish.
