The moped had no registration numbers and the chassis number was defaced
A 17-year-old man was arrested to facilitate investigations into an investigation into driving without a license, under the influence of drugs, and for other traffic violations, as well as for illegal possession of property.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Operations of Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, around 11 last night members of Team “Z” stopped a moped on Athens Street, in Paphos which did not have registration plates, while the two occupants did not wear protective helmets.
As it was established, the moped was driven by a 17-year-old Greek Cypriot, while his co-passenger was a 27-year-old of Arab origin, a legal resident of the Republic.
In addition to the other traffic offences, Mr. Nikolaou told KYPE, it was established that the 17-year-old did not have a driver's license, nor a moped safety certificate, while he was subjected to a drug test with a positive result.
Even on the moped , which did not have registration numbers, the chassis number was defaced.
The 17-year-old was arrested for driving without a driver's license, under the influence of drugs, and for illegal possession of property.
