The Permanent Criminal Court found the 26-year-old guilty specifically of committing the crimes of robbery, illegal possession and transportation of a firearm, shoplifting, and theft and imposed concurrent prison terms on him, with a maximum prison term of four years.</p > <p>The series of offenses were committed in March, 2022, in the province of Paphos. The 26-year-old was then arrested by members of the Police and remained in custody, based on court orders, for the purpose of adjudicating the cases of robbery, burglary, and theft.</p> <p>According to the evidence obtained from the police investigations and presented to the Permanent Criminal Court by the Prosecuting Authority, the 26-year-old was involved in the commission of four robberies, which were committed at kiosks in Paphos province, on March 12, 15 and 16, 2022. The first robbery committed under the threat of an iron crowbar, (Police Bulletin No. 1, dated 12/03/2022, relevant). The March 15 robbery was committed at gunpoint, while two robberies that occurred on March 16 were committed at gunpoint.</p> <p>The theft of the car was committed between March 15 and 16, 2022, while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot in an apartment building in Paphos. According to data obtained from the police examinations, the vehicle was used during the commission of the robberies. The stolen car, worth 2,000 euros, was found on March 19, 2022, burned, in a rural area of ​​Paphos. The tests carried out at the scene showed that the fire in the vehicle had been set maliciously.</p> <p> On March 17, 2022, the 26-year-old was previously arrested for the burglary of a pharmacy, in the province of Paphos. The burglary of the pharmacy was committed the previous day, March 16.
