A 27-year-old security guard was arrested for holding iron at Paphos FC-Omonoia

Yesterday, members of the Police in Paphos proceeded to the arrest of a 27-year-old man, pursuant to a court warrant, for the purpose of investigating a case related to the Law on violence in sports venues.

The 27-year-old suspect was interrogated and after being accused in writing he was released, to be summoned before a Court of Justice to hear the case.

The case concerns offenses allegedly committed at the Stelios Kyriakides stadium, in Paphos, during and after the end of the football match, which took place last Thursday, April 06, between the teams Paphos and Omonia.

According to information, the 27-year-old was allegedly holding an iron and threatening fans.

The case is being investigated by the Paphos TAE.
