A 7-year-old boy was rescued today by members of the Fire Service, as he fell into a pit about five meters deep, in the area of Zakaki, Limassol.
According to the Spokesperson of the Fire Service, Andrea Ketti, the Service responded shortly before 11:00 to rescue a child, who fell into a dry pit, about 5 meters deep, in a field in the area of Zakaki.
The boy was pulled out in a special rescue kit by members of the Fire Service and the Police and is in good health, however he was transported to the Limassol General Hospital by ambulance.
The circumstances under which the child fell into the pit are being investigated by the Police.
