A big operation was carried out last night by members of the aliens and immigration service of the police headquarters with the support of members from provincial levels.
The investigations focused on properties in the area of the municipality of Geroskipou where a total of 17 properties were checked.
In them lived 48 foreigners who mainly come from Southeast Asian countries.
From the examination of the data they presented, it emerged that 21 of them resided illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
