A fault caused a power outage in various areas of Cyprus – It lasted 20 minutes
The power outage lasted about twenty minutes in various areas of Cyprus, as the Transmission System Operator announced that the damage has been fully restored.
“Please be informed that the electricity supply to the consumers who were affected by a technical fault, which occurred in the Production System, has been fully restored today, August 12, 2024, Monday, at 17:28”, reads the TSO announcement.< /p>
Earlier the TSO had announcements that on August 12, 2024, Monday, at 17:06, a technical failure occurred in the Production System, which resulted in the loss of the AT/S 3 Production Unit at the Vassilikos Power Station charged to 105 MW with the consequent rejection of consumer load in various areas of Cyprus.
