A serious complaint was made by the deputy mayor of Routine, Licensing and Volunteering of Mykonos, Dimitris Koutsoukos. Through his Facebook account, he reports that he found himself in front of an unpleasant surprise, both he and his fellow residents who went to Fokos to clean the beach.

According to Dimitris Koutsoukos, there is a small church on the spot which has literally been buried under the soil. In fact, the deputy mayor has posted photos as well as videos from the point where only the cross can be seen from the holy church.

Specifically, in his post he writes: “Yesterday we went to Fokos to clean the beach. From the beach where I looked and took photos and videos I did not see the church. I couldn't believe it was torn down so I went this afternoon to see for myself. The church of Agios Konstantinos and Eleni is there covered with soil and dry reeds.

I removed the dirt and dust from the cross to make sure the church is there. Our despot must act immediately to exhume the church which was built in 2015. The opening of the holy chapel was held on the afternoon of Friday, August 21, 2015″.
