The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today Friday 1/7/2022 at 18:30 a fire broke out in the Pontizos area, despite the dam of the community of Kliros.
The response of the fire brigade was immediate and the fire was brought under complete control at 18:50.
Seven people from the Forestry Department with three fire engines and two people from the Community tried to extinguish the fire. Council with a fire engine.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.

Earlier, the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announced that at 5:02 p.m. a fire broke out in the Sykoudes area of Xylofagos community.

For extinguishing the fire there were three people from the Forest Department with one fire engine and four people from the British Bases with two fire engines.
