The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. a fire broke out in the area of community of Stavrokonnos.
The intervention of the forest fire brigade was immediate, as a result of which the fire was brought under control at 15:50, burning an area of two decades with low wild vegetation.
11 people from the Forestry Department with three fire engines and two people from the Fire Service with one fire engine participated in the extinguishing operation.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
