In the presentation of the new specialized program “CYPRIA – Arts Festival Sponsorship Program” of the Deputy Ministry of Culture to support the institution of the organization of single-thematic and multi-thematic arts festivals in Cyprus, the Deputy Minister Giannis participated on Friday Toumazis.
According to an announcement by the Deputy Ministry, in the context of the need to renew and modernize the festival scene in Cyprus, the revision of the previous policy in relation to the organization and support of arts festivals is sought through the planning and implementation of the specific program.
< p>It is added that the program itself, the implementation of which will begin on a pilot basis from 2023, is the institutional evolution of the CYPRUS International Festival, which operated for 30 years with great success, and is aimed at non-profit organizations that organize festivals arts.
As mentioned, the specific objectives of the program include, among others, the strengthening and support of the organizational infrastructure of organizations that organize arts festivals in order to ensure the viability and strengthen the sustainability of both existing arts festivals and and those that will be created in the future, while special care is taken in relation to his ability s to develop their own strategic planning and to be able to lay the foundations for their further course and evolution themselves, as institutional organizations.
