A series of requests for the release of funds were approved by the Finance Committee – What they concern

Requests for the release of funds concerning Ministries, public law organizations and public service departments were approved on Friday by the Parliamentary Finance Committee.

Specifically, among other things, the Finance Committee approved the release of a fund of €1,989,827 for the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works for the needs of its administration and departments, while for the Department of Public Works a fund of €500.00 was approved for the preparation of an evaluation study of the safety of the entire road network (Network-wide rσad safetγ assessment), based on a European obligation.

Also, it approved the release of a €200,000 fund to carry out primary pre-seismic control of public buildings and a €80,000 fund for various road works.

In addition, the Finance Committee approved the release of appropriations in excess of €1.2 million from the 2024 budget, for the needs of purchasing services from the Housing Financing Organization.

More specifically, an amount of €723,860 concerns the purchase services of experts/consultants for the preparation of studies, an amount of €435,120 for a service contract, while a fund of €50,000 is for computerization costs and €25,000 for Payment Systems costs.

Also, the Commission approved the release of a fund from the budget of the Public Oversight Authority of the Auditing Profession (ADEEElEp) of a total amount of approximately €392,700 which concerns, in particular, the purchase of services of Quality Assurance inspectors, amounting to €238,000, an Inspector specializing in information systems (IT inspector), amounting to €59,500 and Research Officers amounting to €95,200.

Finally, the Finance Committee approved the release of a fund amounting to €1,520,500 from the budget of the Human Rights Council for the purchase of services from natural persons.
