A half was wasted, but the Oltra team stayed alive for the title
AEK remained alive for the title after yesterday's draw at the Arena against APOEL. The team from Larnaca saved the game in the end thanks to the goal scored by Ivan Triskovski in the 88th minute.
AEK threw away an entire half and despite taking the lead saw APOEL turn the match around before the end first half. In the replay and especially after the 60', the Oltra team turned up the pace and became more aggressive, managing to find the goal at the post and avoid defeat.
As the match developed, AEK can feel satisfied from the draw, although the goal of victory was not achieved. If you can't win, don't lose.
The Larnaca side kept their distance from the top at four points while seeing Aris overtake them in the standings. AEK continue to hold their luck in their hands as there are another 21 points on the table, however they should start getting some wins at some point.
The league is entering a very critical juncture and the Larnaca team is called to show character to be able to claim the title to the end.
