<p><strong>The qualification for the final phase of the playoffs of the OPAP Championship of the Basket League was secured by Petrolina AEK, which in the match that took place in “Kition”, beat APOEL Perestroika with 88-74 and thus, with a score of 3-0 , sealed qualification through the pair of positions 1 & 4.</strong></p>
<p>It was an exciting game as far as its final time points, but in the end AEK opened the gap to reach victory, while at halftime APOEL was ahead with 43- 41.</p>
<p>Top for the winner was Bishop (14 points, 6/7 shots, 4/7 two-pointers, 13 rebounds).</p>
<p>The pace was slow at the beginning of the match, without any significant variation, although the lead changed hands and while in the 5th minute, APOEL was ahead with 12-10 and shortly after, with 14-11. However, AEK “answered” with an 8-0 run, to overtake with 19-14 and after then, keeping a stable difference around +5, took the lead in the 10th minute with 21-16.</p>
<p>Although at the beginning of the 2nd period AEK led 23-16, then APOEL's 6-0 run cut it to 23-22 and as for the later time points, AEK maintained a slight lead, at a pace that was slow. </p>
<p>At 15`, the score had gone to 33-29, always for the home team.</p>
<p>But then APOEL, finding mainly defensive solutions, to overtake at the end of the half with 43-41.</p >
<p>Lead +5 for APOEL at the beginning of the 3rd period (46-41), but then AEK, with an improved defense, created an 8-2 run to overtake with 49-48.</p >
<p>But afterwards it was APOEL who had the first say, as they managed to break away with a difference of +7 (59-52) and of course, as time went on, the interest increased.</p>
<p>However in final time points of the 3rd period, AEK found solutions in the 30`, reduced to the minimum value and with the score reaching 64-63.</p>
<p>Starting with a 6-0 run for AEK at the beginning of the 4th period and a lead of 69-64 for the home team, but of course nothing had been decided yet, as then APOEL reduced to 74-72, but then APOEL lost Blackmon with 5 fouls and while shortly after, the AEK led 81-72.</p>
<p>Something happened in the 37` and now AEK was close to the victory, which it finally won with a final score of 88-74.</p>
