After the store in Lakatamia for the 6th time in a row, the DIY SuperHome Center chain is planning to open three more stores, the general manager of the company, George Tziovannis, revealed speaking to the radio show Insider and Socrates Ioakeim and Mario Rousso.
As he mentioned, the first goal is the expansion in Paralimni, for which the area has been found and they are in negotiations.
“After Paralimni, our expansion to western Limassol and Polis Chrysochous will follow,” he said, without giving a specific timetable due to the pandemic.
Speaking about the new store in Lakatamia that officially opens its gates on February 25, he said that it will be the largest store in the chain.
“It will also have a large Ergon To Go cafeteria inside the building, while the innovation compared to our other stores, while in this store building materials will also be available”, he underlined.
Answering a question about whether they are concerned about the fact that there is another chain store nearby, specifically in the Mall of Engomi, he added that it does not concern them as it is addressed to a different audience due to the students in the area.
However, Mr. Giovanni stated that despite the pandemic, they recorded an increase in sales in 2020, due to the shift of consumers to the products they sold mainly through their online store.
Finally, speaking about the competition, he stated that he made his company even better, developing and evolving the products it offers to its tens of thousands of customers.
