The Politburo of K.E. of AKEL met today and proceeded to a preliminary discussion and reflection on the result of the parliamentary elections but also on the next day. This discussion will continue next Saturday, June 5 at the meeting of the Central Committee of the Party.
At the same time, a discussion has begun with the members and friends of the Party, which will continue in local and regional gatherings as well as in the Party Groups, in order to express and hear the views of the people of the Left. This discussion will end at the 23rd Ordinary Congress of the Party, on July 2-4. The Conference will determine the course and priorities of AKEL for the next five years, with the compass of the strong and effective presence and intervention of AKEL for our people and our country.
