Authorities at the Athens airport have been on high alert as an Airbus A333 aircraft prepares to land, while brake damage has been found.
According to the Fire Brigade, its forces have been put in a state of full emergency and are implementing the relevant protocol at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. The aircraft operates the flight Atlanta – Athens.
The fault that has been reported is overheating of the brakes and the reference to the Control Tower was made when it was approximately above Tzia. According to the information so far, the flight has 248 passengers and crew.
