On March 28, Grandmother's Day, ALFAMEGA Hypermarkets and AFOI Petrou Dairy Industry presented, in a press conference, their action this year which is carried out as part of their annual campaign to support of the Cypriot grandmother.
The campaign was launched in 2018 and returns every year as part of the Corporate Responsibility programs of the two companies, aiming to honor the grandmother's role in building society and strengthening the family by offering financial assistance to institutions that host and care for the elderly.
With the participation of the consumer public, the two partners have so far supported the work of five different foundations, offering a total amount of €25,000.
Through this year's campaign, ALFAMEGA Hypermarkets and AFOI Petrou Dairy Industry are supporting the “Timotheo” Elderly Care Home located in Latsia, and invite the public to contribute to the effort by purchasing ALAMBRA and “Grandma” products from ALFAMEGA Hypermarkets between March 16 and April 16. As in previous years, the two partners will allocate part of the revenue from the sales to strengthen the foundation's work.
During the press conference, Mrs. Natasa Konstantinidou, Director of Communications and Corporate of Social Responsibility ALFAMEGA, and Mr. Michalis Petrou Commercial Director of AFOI Petrou Dairy Industry referred to the goals of the campaign and their inexhaustible willingness to give, as they inherited from their Cypriot grandmother. Finally, Mr. Michalis Timothy, owner of the institution, welcomed the initiative and thanked the two partners.
