Little Nikolas, who is fighting the biggest battle of his life, against cancer, spent the third consecutive Christmas in a hospital room.< /b>
In her post, the mother of five-year-old Nikolas states that due to viruses, the little one lost a lot of weight, as a result of which he stopped cancer treatments.
“Our brave boy has unfortunately lost too much weight. His weight has dropped to 14 kg, and he sleeps all the time. The doctors cannot give antibiotics as it is a virus and not a bacterial infection. we are continuing to give him food and water through the central line and hope that his body will be able to beat the virus. Unfortunately, in the last few days, he contracted a second virus, which brought him a high fever (39 degrees Celsius). Right now his body is so weak and tired from all the treatments we did for the cancer”.
After realizing his condition, little Nicholas started crying, asking to be at home for at least these days. of.
Due to his condition, the family of little Nikolas says that they cannot do further treatments for the cancer.

Merry Christmas to you all! We haven't done an update in a while as all our attention is on our Nikolas and sometimes it's hard to do anything else.
A month ago Nicholas started to lose his appetite and stopped eating. He was complaining of stomach pains and could not even drink water. This got worse over time and when we went to the hospital waiting to start his new round of treatment, the doctors told us they can't start treatment until they know what's going on with his stomach.
Our brave boy unfortunately lost too much weight. His weight has dropped to 14 kg, and he sleeps all the time. Doctors immediately gave him electrolytes and fed him through his tubes. The tests showed that Nikolas has a stomach virus. Due to the fact that after the bone marrow transplant, our Nicholas has an incredibly weak immune system, his body cannot fight infections. This was also one of the main risks the doctors warned us about when he had his second bone marrow transplant in August.

You can't imagine what it's like to see your child lose so much weight that he becomes a bone before your eyes.
At Christmas we were in the hospital. This was our Nikola's third Christmas in a hospital room. Now that he understands more, he started crying, he wanted to at least be at Ronald McDonald's house where there is a Christmas tree because that way he could have at least half a normal Christmas. Cancer is so cruel, it doesn't care what time it is or if there is a happy time when kids want to be kids. We promised our Nicholas that when he gets better and we can go back to the Ronald McDonald house, the Christmas tree will still be there for him and that he will find a present under the tree. Even so, he felt a little better. We told him that next year he will have a normal Christmas, something he has never experienced before. Please pray for this to happen.
At this time we cannot do any further cancer treatments. We need his body to get strong first, to beat the viruses, and we need your prayers for a Christmas miracle for our boy!
