The next steps in relation to the “Amalthia” initiative, which concerns the humanitarian corridor for the transfer of humanitarian aid from Cyprus to Gaza, were discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, with the United Nations Senior Coordinator for Humanitarian Aid and Reconstruction in Gaza Sigrinde Kaag, with whom he met on the sidelines of the informal Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.
As stated in a post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the “X” platform, Mr. Kombos reiterated Cyprus' full support to Ms. Kaag's mission and thanked her and the UN 2720 team for the very close cooperation and coordination.
