The Police distributed heavy fines in the last 24 hours in the context of the inspections of the Law on Dehydration.
According to information from politis.com.cy, a certain fine was waiting for a specific coffee in Engomi, which stubbornly refuses to check its customers if they own SafePass. Specifically, the coffee in question received a fine of 16 thousand euros, after for the third time during a police check it was found that it did not ask for SafePass.
Additional supermarket in Nicosia and Larnaca received an additional fine of eight thousand euros, respectively, also for not controlling SafePass.
According to the Police, during the last 24 hours, a total of 2909 inspections were carried out and nine premises and 21 citizens were fined for non-compliance with the measures for Covid19.
