The Pancyprian Association of Amateur Inland Fishermen expresses frustration and dissatisfaction with the non-lifting of the ban on movement for fishing in dams for holders of a special permit issued by the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research, according to a statement from the Marine Fisheries Association.
The Association notes that amateur fishing in dams is an individual sport and asks the Ministry of Health to reconsider with due care and understanding the request to lift the ban on movement for fishing in dams.
After stating that he sent a relevant letter to the Minister of Health on 14/01/21, for which he has not yet received a reply, he expresses the assessment that the silence may be due to the lack of reasonable arguments in favor of the continuation of the ban.
The latest decree authorizes the operation of businesses such as department stores, beauty salons, barbershops and hairdressers, which are crowded indoors (thus increasing the chances of transmitting the virus), while at the same time individual sports in nature, such as Amateur fishing on dams, the Association finally reports.
