Project delivery time is estimated at 18 months
The upgrade foresees the creation of a small refreshment room, sanitary facilities, fitness equipment, a children's playground, a skate park, etc.
The Municipality of Larnaca proceeded on Monday 20/03 with the announcement of the Tender for construction works of the project “Remodeling of the area of Patticheio Park”.
This upgrade, in addition to the maintenance and modernization of the existing infrastructure and facilities, provides among others:
• the creation of a circular elevated walkway around the perimeter of the existing Amphitheater
• the creation of a small refreshment stand, sanitary facilities, exercise equipment, a playground, skate park, etc. and the addition of a sufficient number of parking spaces in various places
• substantial reinforcement of greenery by planting new trees and plants and the creation of a botanical garden
• reconstruction and construction of new bird observatories and characteristic monuments of the area
• repair of the existing infrastructure, specifically the sidewalks and the entrances
• change of the lighting in the area with new anti-vandal type LED technology
• change and reinforcement of urban equipment and maintenance and remodeling of the fencing

Upon completion of the project the park will become fully accessible to everyone citizens, pedestrian cyclists and the disabled, while there will be controlled and limited vehicle access to service the Pattiche Amphitheater (stages, supplies, etc.).
This project will contribute to the creation of a natural green lung park near the city center where there will be conditions for comfortable and safe pedestrian traffic in a natural environment and citizens and various visitors will be able to exercise, rest at the refreshment bar, watch the migratory birds from the observatories, and to enjoy the natural beauty of Patticheios Park which currently remains unexploited.
The delivery time of the project is estimated at 18 months and its budget amounts to €4,880,000.00 + VAT. P.A.
This project may be co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the “THALEA 2021-2027” program, the Republic of Cyprus and the Municipality of Larnaca.
