The Government responds to the “accuracy” with an increase in pensions and a series of other targeted measures in accordance with the current decisions of the Council of Ministers.
Specifically following the decisions of the Council of Ministers on Friday 27 May 2022 on measures to address inflationary trends, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced the following:
Increase all pensions
From July 2022, all pensions of the Social Insurance Fund, including the Social Pension, will increase by the percentage of the increase of the Consumer Price Index of the first half of 2022 compared to the second half of 2021.
Based on preliminary actuarial estimates, this increase will be of the order of approximately 4.3% and corresponds to an increase in the annual pension expenditure by € 69 million.

It is noted that taking into account the increase of 1.22% granted to all pensions from January 1, 2022, the total increase of pensions for 2022 amounts to 5.6% achieving a substantial compensation of the total income of retirees in terms of price increases , as the adjustment is against the total change in the Consumer Price Index.
80% tuition subsidy for children up to four years old
The Plan provides for the support of families, through the subsidy of care services for dependent children up to four years of age through the payment of a significant part of the monthly cost for the education of children in kindergartens and kindergartens.
The subsidy is in amount of 80% of the monthly cost for the attendance of each child, with a maximum amount from € 100 to € 350 per month, depending on the composition of the family, the amount of family income and the age of the children.
Prerequisite for participation in the Plan is that the child attends or is going to attend a daycare center or kindergarten, the parents meet the income criteria that will be determined by the announcement of the Plan and have been approved to provide Child Allowance for the year 2022.
The Plan can benefit for the school year 2022-2023 up to 16,000 children who will be up to four years old on August 31, 2022.
It is noted that in order for nurseries and kindergartens to participate in the Plan, including private and community programs, they must not have made and will not make tuition increases of more than 5% or a monthly amount to be determined by the announcement of the Plan, in relation to the previous year.
For the application procedures and other details of the implementation of the Plan will follow a more detailed information from the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance and the Ministry of Social Welfare that will jointly implement the Plan.

One-time sponsorship for people with disabilities
All people with disabilities who receive Allowances from the Department of Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, will receive a lump sum of € 100 provided that they do not fall into the categories of persons who will receive the corresponding lump sum support from the Ministry of Social Welfare. p> To & nbsp; Beneficiaries include the blind, quadriplegic, paraplegics, beneficiaries of the severe mobility disability allowance and beneficiaries of the trafficking allowance, if these persons do not receive a Minimum Guaranteed Income and will not receive any of the respective one-time sponsorships of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The one-time grant will be paid at the end of June 2022 to all beneficiaries and no application needs to be made.
