The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank (ECB), Andrea Enria, who visited Cyprus on January 17 and 18, as part of his program of visits to national supervisory authorities, spoke of perfect cooperation with the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC). of the eurozone.
According to an announcement by the CBC, during his visit to Cyprus, Mr. Enria had meetings with the Governor of the CBC, Konstantinos Herodotou and with the management team of the CBC CBC Supervision Directorate. Mr. Enria also met with representatives of the Cypriot banking sector and had the opportunity to discuss issues of a supervisory nature.
“I had very fruitful meetings with the Governor, the supervisory staff and the management of the CBC and a useful exchange of views with top executives of the Cypriot banks. It was also an opportunity to thank the Central Bank of Cyprus for the perfect cooperation,” said Mr. Enria.
For his part, the Governor of the CBC, Konstantinos Herodotou, stated that “once again we had the opportunity for a constructive discussion on general and current supervisory issues”.
