His resignation was submitted yesterday by the Chairman of the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, Andreas Papacharalambous. This fact is also attributed to the invitation he received to attend today before the Parliamentary Institutions Committee, in order to be accountable for his actions, decisions and statements that made the committee inactive. Basically, Mr. Papacharalambous was left alone against everyone. Therefore, today's session of the Committee of Institutions is expected with particular interest, with the rapporteurs of the issue, AKEL MPs George Loukaidis, Aristo Damianou, Irini Charalambidou and Andrea Pasiourtidis, to expect that today Mr. Papacharalambous will not give will fight. The subject that was registered for ex officio examination is entitled as follows: “The crisis caused by the recent resignations of members of the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee”. Representatives of First Division football clubs were also invited, who declared Mr. Papacharalambous an “undesirable person”.
