Andreas Nomikos, known as the “wing” of Athens, passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 84, in a private clinic where he was treated. In recent months he has been facing health problems, with his family members by his side.

He was selling feathers for dusting and shouting in a low voice “feathers… and feathers”, thus promoting his treatise. He has been a graphic figure of Athens for over 50 years, since the 60's and the expression “feathers… and feathers” has remained a classic.

He had three children and as an actor he had appeared in many comedies, having in several of them the role of a feather seller or the role of a woman.
