ANORTHOSI: Announced a player who played Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, AEK and PAOK!

Anorthosis Famagusta announces the start of its collaboration with Lazaros Christodoulopoulos. The agreement concerns a one-year contract, until the Summer of 2022.
The 34-year-old midfielder was born in Diavata, Thessaloniki and belongs to a very closed group of players who wore the jersey of all four most successful teams in Greek football. He was promoted by PAOK, where he played until 2008 where he was transferred to Panathinaikos. He stayed at “Peania” for five years, won a championship and a cup and then tried his international career in Italian football in Bologna, Hellas Verona and Sampdoria with 71 appearances and five goals in Serie A. In 2016 he returned to Athens for AEK and in his two years there he became champion of Greece. Next stop is Olympiacos Piraeus where he also emerged champion and cup winner of Greece. He left in the Summer of 2020 and played for Atromitos for a year. In his long career he has played in 253 league games in the Super League, scored 43 goals and distributed 25 assists.
He was called up to the National Team of Greece for the first time in February 2008 and made his debut in a match against the Czech Republic. In total, he played with the National Team 35 times and scored one goal. His top moment was his participation in the 2014 World Cup where he reached the “16” of the tournament.
We welcome Lazaro to our team and wish him every success with “Finika” on his chest!
