The Cyprus Stock Exchange showed a small drop in the second stock market meeting of the week on Tuesday. The CSE General Index closed at 135.00 points, showing losses of 0.79%.

The FTSE/CySE20 index closed at 81.97 points, down 0.80% . The daily value of transactions was 290,910 euros.

Among the individual indices, the Main Market closed down 0.88%, the Alternative Market fell 0.59% and Investment Companies closed down around 0.71%. Hotels remained unchanged.

The Bank of Cyprus share had the highest marketability with a trading volume of 166,816 euros (closing price of 3.39 euros – drop of 1.17%), followed by the share of Hellenic Bank with a volume of 108,635 euros (closing price of 2.27 euros – drop of 0 .44%), the share of Vassiliko Cement Works with a volume of 3,121 euros (closing price of 3.12 euros – 0.64% drop), the share of Cyprus Cement Company with a volume of 2,975 euros (closing price of 0.70 euros – no change) and the Logicom share with a volume of €2,736 (closing price €2.90 – down 1.36%).

Of the traded shares, 1 moved up, 9 down and 4 remained unchanged. The number of transactions was just 112.

Furthermore, the Stock Exchange, following the announcement of the date of November 23, 2023, announced that in accordance with Rule 5.4.1 of the Basic Management Rules of the FTSE/CySE20 Index, during the six-month review of the Index, the participating stocks whose weight exceeds 25% will be weighted to 25% of the Index.

It states that based on the evaluation made in the revised composition of the Index, taking into account data valid on December 8, 2023, as noted in the Management Rules of the FTSE/CySE20 Index, the share of the company “Bank of Cyprus Holdings Plc” will be weighted with a coefficient weight factor 0.185249 while the share of the company “Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd” will be weighted with a weight factor 0.862248 since their weight exceeds 25% of the Index.

< p class="text-paragraph">It adds that the above change will come into force from Monday, December 18, 2023.

Furthermore, the CSE states that taking into account data effective on December 8, 2023, the shares participating in the General Index of the CSE, whose weighting exceeds 25%, will be weighted at 25% of the Index.

Adds that the share of the company “Bank of Cyprus Holdings Plc” will be weighted with a weight factor of 0.192583, while the share of the company “Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd”, will weighted with a weight factor of 0.896382 since these exceed 25% of the CSE General Index, as he notes.

It also states that the shares participating in the CSE Main Market Index, whose weighting exceeds 30% will be weighted at 30% of the Index and adds that the share of the company “Bank of Cyprus Holdings Plc” will be weighted with a weight factor ) 0.135790 while the share of the company “Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd” will be weighted with a weight factor of 0.632040 since they exceed 30% of the CSE Main Market Index.

According to the CSE, the above changes take effect from Monday, December 18, 2023.

Also, the Stock Exchange announced the listing of 7,709 ordinary shares of the company “RichReach Corporation Public Ltd”, which were issued and granted by the private placement method, as well as their simultaneous listing in the Central Depository and Registry of the CSE in accordance with Articles 10( 1) and (3) of the Securities and Stock Exchange of Cyprus (Central Depository and Central Register of Securities) Law.

It states that the above shares will be incorporated into the already listed share capital of the company, which will amount to 11,402,880 shares and adds that trading of the shares will begin on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
