APOEL against Aris will try to get their eighth consecutive victory in this year's championship, with the “blue and yellow” aiming for the three points that will keep them at the top. A “pillar” in this effort that is being made this year is also Jose Angel Crespo, who with his return showed his value again.
The Spanish defender is one of Sa Pinto's most important footballers, both for his ability at the back and for the experience he brings. After his injury against Ghent (and despite the good presence of Petrovic) he shows that, as in last season, he can offer the maximum for his team to claim the title.
Indicative that in the first four games of the league, without Crespo the capital team conceded 4 goals, while with his return as a starter the “blue and yellow” conceded just two goals in seven games.
His presence in the defensive line gave security and stability in the defensive line, showing once again that he is a valuable “cog” in the “machine” of APOEL.
Even if Crespo's presence is… all the money, this year and Petrovic remains consistently high flights. The two of them showed that they are a good duo and their own performance will be pivotal in this year's APOEL effort for distinction.
