APOEL: Nihilistic criticism does not help

Must read

Milojevic made mistakes but that doesn't mean he's a bad coach

ΑΠΟΕΛ: Η μηδενιστικor κρι&tau ;ικor δεν βοηθà

With a realistic approach, the result (2-2) of the derby of the 3rd matchday in the final phase of the championship, at the “AEK Arena” between AEK and the pioneer APOEL, is not bad for the “blue and yellow” after maintaining the point difference of four points from the Larnaca team while they also have an advantage over the “yellow-green” in the event of a draw. The downside is that Mars came dangerously close to two degrees.

It is true that the time point when AEK shaped the final result but also the retreat in the last twenty minutes, when the players' self-concentration was lost and several mistakes were made, left a bitter taste – disappointment, for the APOELists who saw a great opportunity for a very important ” double' to lose.

It is also true that the changes he made did not work out for Vladan Milojevic. The players who entered (Ben 64', Efraim 77', Makeda 77' and Dvali in stoppage time) they failed to help substantially for a number of reasons. Also, even the internal changes didn't work out for the Serbian coach this time.

Dalciofor example he was excellent in the very good period of APOEL and gave his team an attacking breath, excellent development, creativity and tremendous energy. His shift to the wings worked negatively for the blue and yellow.

Also Dogala was too good and should not have come off the game from 63'. The Belgian was penetrating and several times disturbed the opposing defense with his speed and his dribbles.

Could Mr. Milogevićto use Satsia and M. Ilias who would give freshness and strength in midfield but also to put the tall Dvali earlier.

These are our thoughts analyzing Monday's game (3/4). Our criticism is always honest and without exaggerations and aphorisms. I mention this because we have found in Social Media a nihilistic criticism of Milogević which we consider to be at least unfair.

The Serbian technician is certainly not infallible. He has some obsessions, he made mistakes in the management of the game but with his skills, personality and great work, he is for me the top coach working on our island. He masterfully led APOEL to first place with a score and psychological advantage. It gave the Blue and Yellows perspective for their dynamic return to the top of our football and many new, great successes.

I agree with the experts who argue that managers should be judged mainly by their results (relative to with the various conditions – circumstances in their team) and the results of Milogević at the helm of the technical leadership of APOEL, are very good.

Let's not rush to judge after they have stayed only 7 matches to complete this very competitive league. At the end of May we will be able to take stock and draw our final conclusions.
